On 16 October, Malta’s Ministry for the Economy, Technology and Strategic Projects announced that more than 50 startups had been awarded €15 million in financial assistance. The supported companies had created around 250 jobs, with an average salary of €46,000.
The supported businesses operate across FinTech, EdTech, life sciences, semiconductors, digital games, esports, artificial intelligence and Deep Tech. The €15 million represents the announced assistance total for the startup group, rather than a single investment deal.
